Although other services have allowed “deep linking” for some time, YouTube just added the ability to link directly to a portion (at a timestamp) of a video.
To specify a point, append a tag to the end of your video link with the following syntax: “#t=1m45s” (you can change the numbers before the ‘m’ and ’s’ [...]
According to my recent poll, it looks like Twitter is the most popular social tool. Although the respondents were a fairly limited set (only 10 because I am lame and no one really wants to take my polls), here are the results:
