Gimme

“Gimme more, Gimme more,” Izaak said while pressing the morphine drip for every last drop.

Instapundit is a better man than I. After blogging since 6:00 am, I cannot make sense of much anymore. Both of the patients are doing very well. In fact, on the way to the 12th floor, the nurse told Doug that this is the most successful transplant that he has ever seen. Amazing.

Thank you everyone for your amazing support. This has been a wonderful day, and as Donna (Izaak’s mom) has been saying all day, “of course, it has been.”

For now, I am signing off.  I will be blogging tomorrow with some follow-up in the afternoon–I have to get back to bar prep.

Praise the Lord! God is a wonderful healing God. We were elated to hear and see the miracle of God. We do appreciate being able to read about Izaak and Doug. They have been in our prayers for so long and Doug for a long time as we were in Lew’s SS Class and knew of his need. We will continue to pray knowing God is in control.

Jeremy, Thank you so much for all you’re hard work today on the blog. After leaving the hospital and pondering on all that took place today I am just in awe of God’s work and his hand that he has had in this whole process. Praise be to God for all he has done in both are families.

I am so proud of my buddy Izaak for such a loving sacrifice. He has been such a joy to work withfor over the last couple of years and when he first started talking about trying to help Doug with a kidney….he had no fear. He really wanted to help him.
Thank God Doug had such a loving friend.
I love all of you and Praise God for a succesful surgery!!!!

  • Izaak, I guess you know that since your kidney is now in Doug, and since Doug is our son, now you are our “kidney son.” Fran and I cannot thank you enough for this sacrifice you have made for Doug. May God bless you abundantly and spilling over. I am reminded of the scripture that says “Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friend.” John 15:13 Maybe not your life Izaak, but it was very close and means just as much.
