Where in the World is Marsilene “Marcie” Smith?

Whether 69 year old smith went AWOL or has been axed is a mystery, but the family has put up $10 grand for “information leading to the conviction of the person responsible for Smith’s disappearance and the discovery of her body.”  The thing is, I think when you find her body it won’t be lifeless.  So… let’s find her and split the loot.

I was in the ‘Boro when Smith went missing doing some CLE.  As it turns out, Smith was/is a neighbor of my mother-in-law, and the case was particularly interesting to me.  I set a Google alert and have been following the case.

The diabetic Smith apparently went shopping on December 6, and her husband who holds the reigns to a tight leash said that she was “never”  gone for more than 2 hours.  At 6 pm he became worried.  The next morning her vehicle was found at another Walmart parking lot parked in between two budget rental trucks.  Later surveillance video revealed that apparently a man parked the Lincoln Navigator removed a bicycle from the back of the vehicle and drove into neverland.  Her cell phone was found in a location that was not consistent with her shopping path.

My theory is that the apparent man escaping the car was Smith fleeing the harness of a control freak of a husband.  The above rendering is a doctored photo of a comment on Murfreesboro’s Daily News Journal.  Others believe that the husband was involved or that she has escaped.

Honestly, if she has escaped his grip and she is on the run, I hope that she is getting her insulin but having the time of her life, and I won’t take the cash for her info.  On the other hand, if anyone has seen this wigged woman pictured above, ping me so that I can remove the Google alert.
