[...] In the first post on this subject sacrifice, I indicated that Izaak had written about Doug to win his scholarship to Maryville College. While we are waiting to hear the latest update, I thought I would post an excerpt of his story: A person that I know that has been an active leader in my life is my pastor Doug Floyd. He led me to Christ, and to a place that I can be happy, and feel free. When I first met him, I was burned out, and ready to give up on the whole church life. It didn’t seem to fit my personality at the time. I had bad experiences with all the churches I went to. But he came into my life, taught me what it was to be a Christian, and how much of an honor it is to be called by God. Doug brought me to Christ, and through Christ my life has been completely change[d] and reformatted to fit the will of God. [...]
